IT'S OCTOBER

It is 12:59 am on October the first, this means I can officially start my Halloween blogging and photos. I am so in the mood for Halloween and fall. To make the mood even better, we are having a huge thunderstorm as I write this. What a great way to get into the spooky spirit. I cannot believe my kiddos are sleeping through this.

I made it

I survived my weekend stay at the In-Laws house. No major issues and everyone hugged when we left. Woosh, that was an accomplishment. Everything in their house is always so very perfect, and we made it through the weekend and nothing was broken, nobody vomited on the white bed linens that sit upon stark white carpets. I did take some random photos to share. First, baby boy who I had to force to sit near the pumpkins, LuLu (with the braids) and first cousin in the soy bean field. A really cool garden spider, and a new addition to the Mother in Laws gate that I thought looked good. I am proud of myself I behaved almost the whole weekend. One big smile for me.

The In-Laws

Tomorrow we are off to the In-Laws for the weekend. Wish me luck....Stay tuned because when I get back I will start my Halloween Hauntings.

The Melting Pot

Tonight Wednesday Addams and I (see post below because that is her new "code" name) went to the melting pot for a girls night out / birthday dinner. It was so nice and relaxing we chatted for several hours and ate until we almost exploded. I have now been celebrating my birthday for a solid week. Several good dinners and good gifts make this 35 thing a bit more manageable.

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS AND MY BFF

I love Wednesday Addams ( I tend to think about the Addams family this time of year) and I also love my BFF. It occurred to me the other day that the two looked alike. From now own I will insist that my BFF dress like Wednesday every Halloween from here on out. I wonder if BFF chopped the heads off of her dolls as a child?

ANOTHER TALE FROM RED-NECK-VILLE

Just the other day I went to the local pizza spot to pick up a "to go" order. This restaurant has a side door for take out orders. I take my happy self into the restaurant go to the counter and proceed to pay for the food when this lady and her small son (around 3 years old) come running by me with mom shouting "come on come on". The first thing that pops into my head is that the kid is about to "loose his cookies". Me being a compulsive germ FREAK when it comes to the stomach flu, I quickly use my back to push the door that they just exited through open. Hopefully not catching anything. Stressed about being possibly "exposed" I journey to my car, look to my left and the kid is not "loosing his cookies" but watering the grass.

I am 100% sure that the restaurant has a bathroom with several stalls in each. I was relieved I had not been exposed to the stomach flu but blown away that some mom would rush her kid outside of a restaurant to go potty.... in the parking lot. Only in red-neck-ville.

MY BIRTHDAY DINNER

For my birthday Hubby took me to Ruth's Chris. It was so very delicious. Melt in your mouth delicious....Yum yum yummy.....

Eyes in the back of my head

Today I was sitting on my bedroom floor drying my hair when baby boy came strolling in and started playing with the back of my hair. He had actually started digging into my head when I asked "what are you doing?" Much to my amazement he stated (with a very serious face) " I am looking for those eyes in the back of your head." I almost fell over laughing but reminded him that those eyes were always watching him and sissy.

I AM BACK

After a great weekend at the lake I came home to the slamming reality of everyday life and have been busy as a bee this week. I believe I am starting to settle into the school routine again and hopefully will get back on my organized track soon.

I did get some good shots of the kiddies this weekend including one that may be Christmas card worthy.
